If you make changes to your book, we may be able to keep the same ISBN assigned to the new version.
If the new version of your book differs more than 20% from the older version, a new ISBN is needed. But if you have a few typos you want to correct, we should be able to help you carry over the ISBN to the newer version.
When the ISBN can’t be carried over:
Title changes. If you changed your title, you need new ISBNs.
Ink color change. If you changed from a black-and-white to color interior, or vice-versa, a new ISBN is needed.
