Yes, you can. A pen name or pseudonym is fine. Also okay is any other alternative to your legal name or name at birth. You choose your author name when you publish, and this author name is what readers and bookstores will know you as.

To use a pen name, add it in two places before you print or publish your book.

  • Inside your book (front matter): The author name appears on a book's title page and copyright page. For writing on Tablo, change this in Book Settings.

  • In your book details (metadata): We ask for your author name when you publish. The name you give will be sent to stores to display beside your book online.
